1. Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming

Gamblezen is committed to providing a safe, fair, and transparent gaming environment for all of its users. We recognise that, while the vast majority of players engage with gambling as a form of entertainment, a minority may develop harmful patterns of behaviour. Our responsible gaming programme reflects our determination to identify those individuals at an early stage and to provide effective, practical support.

1.1 Core Principles

Our responsible gaming approach is built on the following principles:

  • Player Autonomy: We respect each player's right to make informed choices and provide tools that empower you to set your own limits.
  • Transparency: All terms governing bonuses, wagering requirements, and withdrawals are stated clearly in our Terms & Conditions.
  • Data Privacy: Any personal data processed in connection with responsible gaming measures is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Non-Exploitation: We do not direct promotional material toward players who have activated responsible gaming restrictions or self-exclusion.
  • Continuous Improvement: We regularly review our policies, tools, and procedures to align with evolving best-practice standards in the iGaming industry.

1.2 Age Restriction

Access to Gamblezen is strictly limited to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Gambling by minors is illegal and is not permitted under any circumstances. We operate a robust age verification process at the point of registration and reserve the right to suspend any account pending satisfactory proof of age at any time.

1.3 Gambling as Entertainment

Gambling is, and should always be treated as, a form of paid entertainment — not a means of generating income or resolving financial difficulties. We encourage all players to set a personal entertainment budget before they begin each session and to treat any winnings as a bonus rather than an expectation. The outcome of every game offered on Gamblezen is determined by a certified random number generator (RNG), and no strategy can guarantee a positive financial result over time.

2. Recognising Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually and may not be immediately apparent to the person experiencing it. The following checklist has been compiled to help you honestly assess your own relationship with gambling. If you recognise several of these signs in yourself or in someone you care about, we strongly encourage you to make use of the support resources listed in Section 6 of this page.

2.1 Warning Signs Checklist

  • You spend more money on gambling than you can comfortably afford to lose, and continue doing so even when aware of the financial impact.
  • You borrow money, sell personal possessions, or divert funds intended for essential expenses (rent, bills, food) in order to fund gambling activity.
  • You feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you attempt to reduce the amount you gamble or to stop gambling altogether.
  • You gamble to escape from stress, anxiety, depression, or personal problems rather than as a form of recreation.
  • After a losing session, you experience a strong compulsion to return and attempt to "chase" your losses by placing further bets.
  • You conceal the extent of your gambling activity — including the time and money spent — from family members, friends, or colleagues.
  • Gambling has begun to negatively affect your relationships, employment, academic performance, or mental and physical health.
  • You have made repeated, unsuccessful attempts to control, reduce, or cease your gambling.
  • You find that you need to wager progressively larger amounts of money in order to achieve the same level of excitement or satisfaction.
  • Thoughts about gambling — planning future sessions, reliving previous ones, or considering ways to obtain funds — occupy a significant portion of your daily thinking.

Answering "yes" to three or more of the above questions may indicate a problematic relationship with gambling. This does not constitute a clinical diagnosis, but it is a meaningful indicator that speaking to a professional would be beneficial. You are not alone — confidential, non-judgemental support is available free of charge in Ireland (see Section 6).

3. Player Protection Tools

Gamblezen provides a range of practical tools that place you in direct control of your gambling activity. All tools can be activated via the Responsible Gaming section of your account dashboard or by contacting our support team at [email protected]. Tools that restrict play take effect immediately. Tools that relax a previously set restriction are subject to a mandatory 72-hour cooling-off period to prevent impulsive decisions.

💰

3.1 Deposit Limits

Set a maximum amount you can deposit over a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Reductions apply instantly; increases require 72 hours to take effect.

🎰

3.2 Loss Limits

Cap the total amount you are willing to lose within a defined time period. Once reached, your account will be temporarily restricted from placing further bets until the limit resets.

⏱

3.3 Session Time Limits

Define a maximum session duration. You will receive on-screen notifications as you approach your limit, and your session will close automatically once it is reached.

🔄

3.4 Wager Limits

Restrict the maximum stake you are permitted to place on any single bet or spin within your chosen time frame, helping to manage the speed at which funds are risked.

❄️

3.5 Cooling-Off Period

Take a short break from gambling by activating a temporary account restriction of 24 hours, 48 hours, or up to 30 days. Your account will reopen automatically at the end of the selected period.

🚫

3.6 Self-Exclusion

Elect to exclude yourself from Gamblezen for a minimum of 6 months or for an indefinite period. During self-exclusion, you will not be able to log in, make deposits, or receive marketing communications from us.

3.7 Reality Checks

Gamblezen provides configurable reality check notifications that display on-screen at regular intervals (e.g. every 30, 60, or 90 minutes). Each notification shows the duration of your current session, your net profit or loss, and gives you the option to continue, review your limits, or end the session immediately.

3.8 Account Closure

You may request the permanent closure of your Gamblezen account at any time by contacting [email protected]. If closure is requested for responsible gaming reasons, we will treat your account as a self-exclusion and apply all associated protections. Any remaining eligible balance will be returned to your designated payment method following satisfactory verification.

3.9 Self-Exclusion Across Multiple Operators

If you wish to exclude yourself from multiple operators simultaneously, we encourage you to explore national exclusion programmes. Ireland's National Gambling Exclusion Register (NGEI), being established under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, will in due course provide centralised exclusion across all licensed operators. In the meantime, you may contact individual operators directly or seek guidance from the support organisations listed in Section 6.

4. Tips for Responsible Gambling

The following guidelines are not restrictions — they are practical habits that many experienced players use to ensure their gambling remains a positive recreational activity.

  1. Set a budget before you play. Decide in advance how much money you are prepared to spend, treat it as the cost of entertainment, and stop when you reach that amount — regardless of whether you are winning or losing.
  2. Never chase losses. A losing session does not increase your statistical chance of winning in the next session. Continuing to play in the hope of recovering lost funds is a primary driver of problem gambling.
  3. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Never use funds allocated to rent, bills, food, savings, or debt repayment. Gambling should come from your discretionary entertainment budget exclusively.
  4. Take regular breaks. Step away from the screen at least once every hour. Use our session time limit and reality check tools to support this habit. Fatigue and prolonged sessions impair judgement.
  5. Do not gamble under the influence. Alcohol, prescription medication, recreational drugs, or severe emotional distress can significantly impair your decision-making ability. If you are not in a clear and composed state of mind, do not gamble.
  6. Balance gambling with other activities. Gambling should be one of several leisure activities in your life — not the primary one. If you find that gambling is displacing hobbies, social activities, or time with family and friends, that is an important warning sign.
  7. Keep track of time and money spent. It is easy to lose track of both. Use our dashboard tools to review your transaction history, session duration, and total spend on a regular basis.
  8. Understand the games you play. Every game has a built-in house edge. Return-to-Player (RTP) figures and volatility information are available in each game's information panel. Understanding these figures helps set realistic expectations.

5. Protection of Minors

5.1 Age Verification

Gamblezen operates a strict 18+ only policy. In accordance with applicable legislation in Ireland, gambling by persons under the age of 18 is prohibited and constitutes a criminal offence for the operator. Age verification is carried out at the point of registration, and we reserve the right to request supporting documentation — such as a passport, national identity card, or driving licence — at any stage of the customer relationship. No withdrawals will be processed until age verification has been completed satisfactorily.

5.2 Safeguarding Your Household

If minors have access to the devices you use for gambling, we strongly recommend the following precautionary measures:

  • Never save your Gamblezen login credentials in your browser or on a shared device.
  • Always log out of your account fully after each session, particularly on shared or family computers, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Enable parental control software on all household devices. Reputable tools include Net Nanny, Qustodio, Bark, and Circle.
  • Utilise your internet router's built-in content filtering features to block access to gambling websites for non-adult users.
  • Keep your account password confidential and ensure it is unique to your Gamblezen account.
  • Speak openly with children and teenagers about the risks associated with gambling and why it is restricted to adults.

5.3 Reporting Underage Access

If you suspect that a minor has accessed or attempted to access a Gamblezen account — whether your own or another — please report this immediately to [email protected]. We will investigate all such reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include immediate account suspension and referral to the relevant authorities.
